Konami’s first quarter financial results, for the three months ending June 30th, have seen net revenue hit $509 million, a rise of 5.2 per cent, and net income hit $32.5 million, an increase of 82.2 per cent compared to the same period last year.
In isolation, Konami’s Digital Entertainment Division saw year-on-year net revenue increase by 8.6 per cent, reaching $290 million. It’s strong results were credited to the success of the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise, Metal Gear Solid Portable ops on PSP and strong sales of baseball-related games in Japan.
