Version management software provider Perforce Software has announced that it has acquired Swedish-based developer Hansoft Technologies. With that, it has acquired and joined up to absorb its software, including its Agile planning and management solution.
Both companies provide different solutions when it comes to managing a project. Perforce, and its most recent Helix TeamHub solution, focuses on version management and is used by game studios globally including NVIDIA, EA and Ubisoft. Hansoft’s software focuses on communication between developers and management in real time with its project management solutions.
The Hansoft Agile enterprise project management tool is seen to be a "great fit" with Perforce’s own development solution according to Hansoft’s chief product officer, Rikard Nilsson. “Together we’re a powerful team," Nilsson said. "We’re excited to continue enhancing Hansoft for our devoted customers, while extending it to enterprises needing an Agile planning solution that scales with their needs.”
"“At Perforce, we’re on a mission to connect teams to the efficiency, insights, support and security they need to innovate without limits," said Perforce CEO, Janet Dryer. "With this latest acquisition, we’re pleased to build on that undertaking with a unique solution that provides both macro- and micro-level views into enterprise Agile projects.”
"The Hansoft tool for Agile enterprise project management is a great example of strong technology coming out of the capital region of Sweden," added Hansoft co-founder and former CEO, Patric Palm. "Now, with the global resources of Perforce this great technology can reach a much bigger audience worldwide.
