It’s been another quiet week at retail in terms of new releases, and we all know what a quiet week means: FIFA 19 remained at the top of the charts for another week. Sales for the football behemoth went up 53 per cent week-on-week, likely still boosted by Sony’s Days of Play sale.
Days Gone and Marvel’s Spider-Man also remained at No.2 and No.3 respectively for another week, with sales continuing to increase another 35 per cent compared to last week for the former and 45 per cent for the latter.
Pretty much every title in the Top Ten saw an increase in sales week-on-week, likely due to promotions going alongside E3 announcements. Forza Horizon 4 for instance gained eight spots to No.4 with a 88 per cent raise in sales. Meanwhile, EA titles made a good comeback; Anthem did particularly well and re-entered the Top Ten, gaining six spots to No.8 following a 81 per cent rise week-on-week, while Battlefield V’s sales went up 69 per cent, charting at No.6.
The only Top Ten title seeing a drop compared to last week was Blood & Truth, which saw its sales decrease eight per cent, falling to No.10.
The various retail promotions means unit sales overall went up ten per cent week-on-week, while the market increased four per cent in value, though it’s still down compared to last year. Unit sales were down 16.7 per cent year-on-year while revenue was down 12.9 per cent compared the same period last year.
There was no new entry in the charts this week.
