India-based mobile game developer Octro has received $15m in investment from its Series A funding round.
The studio, formed in 2006, has released titles such as Teen Patti and Rummy. Its latest game is Tambola, a slightly different version of Bingo, for mobile.
The funding round was led by investment firm Sequoia Capital, which has previously invested in Apple, Youtube, Google, and Dropbox.
The news comes after the firm announced a new $530m fund for start-ups in India and Southeast Asia.
