Summer Games Done Quick schedule promises Nier Automata, Halo and The Lion King

The schedule for Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) has been announced, with speedrunning fans able to take a quick look at the schedule for the marathon event.

Speedrunners from around the globe come to SGDQ to show off their skills, with viewers making donations to Doctors Without Borders and have a chance to win prizes.

January’s Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) was the event’s most successful so far, netting a little over $2m dollars

The event starts with a 2 hour Ending A completion of Nier: Automata. Through the event, many games from the past will have their brief moment to shine, with classics like Tomba, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and a host of Sonic games getting beaten in record times. The game will then end with Earthbound on July 9th.

January’s Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2017 set the record for donations of any GDQ event hitting just over $2 million dollars. You can see the full schedule here.
