An array of companies took home key accolades at last night’s MCV Industry Excellence Awards.
14 different companies claimed the 19 prizes, but no company dominated the winners’ list, reflecting the UK trade’s diversity.
650 execs from retail, publishing, development, distribution, PR and marketing jammed into London’s The Brewery to see the winners named.
Microsoft won the most awards, taking key prize Trade Marketing Team plus Best Use of Social Media and New Games Brand for Dance Central.
Ubisoft scored a big double-whammy. CEO Yves Guillemot himself attended to pick up the Grand Prix. Sales director Darren Bowen was also honoured with our Retail Advisory Board’s Special Recognition prize.
Nintendo (Marketing Team and Sales Team) and EA (Games Publisher and PR Team) also won big.
Other trade honours went to ShopTo (Independent Retailer), Gem (High Street Distribution Team) and Amazon (General Retailer).
