A new edition of IGN has launched today, catering specifically to gamers in the Middle East.
The project is the result of IGN’s collaboration with Middle Eastern media firm T-Break. It will be headed up by Abbas Jaffar Ali, former editor of local gaming site Megamers.com
IGN Middle East will provide games and entertainment coverage to more than 340m consumers in 15 nations, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwat, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt and Morocco.
All content will be available in both Arabic and English, and will be a mix of locally created editorial and articles from the US, UK and Australian IGN teams.
"The Middle East is a truly exciting world market and one of the fastest-growing in media and entertainment, and we’re thrilled to be working with T-break to introduce IGN Middle East to a vast audience of gamers," said IGN’s international business development director Adam Doree.
