Fnatic will start up a new gaming house in Los Angeles for its Overwatch team when they return from Korea.
In an interview with Yahoo eSports Fnatic founder Sam Mathews revealed the news.
“It’s unannounced, but our Overwatch team is American and currently they’re in Korea,” said Mathews. “Esports is based in LA really, in the US. There’s a lot of esports brands out here, game developers. So it makes quite a lot of sense to have our US-based esports team in the US capital of esports. We’re going to be announcing it… in the next month or so.”
Fnatic’s Overwatch team has slowly grown to become one of the best in the world, and are currently playing in the best league over in Korea. They will be hoping to secure a spot in the Overwatch League later this year, but securing LA as their home city will not be easy.
